Letter to the parents for the month of Bhadra 2083

Dear Parents/Guardians,

Warm greetings from Fishtail Academy!

We hope this letter finds you and your family in good health and high spirits. As we step into the month of Bhadra 2083, we are delighted to share the exciting highlights, achievements, and learning experiences from the past month, along with important upcoming events at Fishtail Academy.

1. Celebrating Teachers’ Day

Fishtail Academy celebrated Teachers’ Day with great enthusiasm and warmth. The celebration provided students with an opportunity to express their gratitude and appreciation for the dedication, guidance, and continuous support of their teachers.

The programme reflected the strong bond between our students and teachers and reminded us of the important role educators play in shaping young minds and inspiring lifelong learning.

2. Welcoming Our New House Captains and Vice Captains

We are delighted to announce the newly appointed House Captains and Vice Captains who will take on important leadership responsibilities within their respective houses.

·         Phoenix House: Umang Gurung | Tenzin Lhowa Gurung

We wish our young leaders every success in their new roles. We are confident that they will lead with integrity, responsibility, confidence, empathy, and teamwork, while serving as positive role models for their peers.

3. House-wise Basketball Competition

Our students enthusiastically participated in the House-wise Basketball Competition, demonstrating remarkable teamwork, sportsmanship, discipline, and competitive spirit.

The competition provided students with an opportunity to develop not only their sporting abilities but also important life skills such as collaboration, leadership, perseverance, respect, and resilience. We commend all participating students for their enthusiasm and congratulate them on their commendable performances.

4. Learning Beyond the Classroom

Our students continued to benefit from meaningful field trips, guest speaker sessions, and experiential learning opportunities during the past month.

Students visited hydropower projects, theatres, Sathi Sansar, and participated in engaging guest speaker sessions, giving them opportunities to connect classroom learning with real-world experiences.

These programmes encourage students to observe, question, communicate, reflect, and apply their learning in authentic contexts. We believe such experiences are essential in developing curious, independent, and globally minded learners.

5. English Literature Week 2026

Fishtail Academy successfully celebrated English Literature Week 2026 with enthusiastic participation from students across PYP to High School.

Throughout the week, students engaged in a wide range of literary and communication-based activities, including speech, storytelling, poetry recitation, essay writing, public speaking, and other creative activities.

The programme provided students with opportunities to strengthen their language skills, express their ideas confidently, appreciate literature, and develop creativity and communication skills. We are proud of the enthusiasm and talent demonstrated by our students throughout the week.

6. Upcoming: Swimming Competition

We are excited to announce that the Swimming Competition is scheduled for 11th Bhadra 2083.

The competition will provide our students with an opportunity to demonstrate their swimming skills, determination, discipline, and sportsmanship. We encourage all participating students to prepare well, compete with confidence, and uphold the spirit of fair play.

7. The Most Awaited FMUN 3.0

We are thrilled to announce the arrival of the most awaited Fishtail Model United Nations – FMUN 3.0, taking place from 5th to 7th Bhadra 2083.

This flagship event will bring together more than 700 delegates from schools across Nepal, creating a dynamic platform for young minds to debate pressing global issues, exchange perspectives, and engage in meaningful diplomatic discourse.

FMUN 3.0 will provide students with invaluable opportunities to develop leadership, diplomacy, public speaking, negotiation, research, critical thinking, collaboration, and decision-making skills.

We look forward to welcoming delegates from across the country and making FMUN 3.0 a memorable and enriching experience for everyone involved.

8. Academic Focus, Attendance, and Discipline

As we progress further into the academic year, we encourage students to remain consistent in their academic efforts and maintain effective study habits. Parents are kindly requested to support their children by monitoring attendance, punctuality, assignments, projects, assessments, reading habits, and overall academic engagement.

We also request parents to encourage responsible behaviour, respect for others, and adherence to school routines and expectations. Regular attendance and active participation are essential for students to make meaningful progress in their learning.

We sincerely appreciate the continued trust, cooperation, encouragement, and partnership of our parents. Together, let us continue to nurture confident, compassionate, creative, responsible, and globally minded learners who are prepared to lead with purpose and make a positive difference in the world.

Thank you for your continued support.

Take care, stay safe, and blessed

With Regards

Fishtail family.
