Letter to the parents for the month of Ashwin 2083

Dear Parents/Guardians,

We hope this letter finds you and your family in good health and high spirits. As we step into the month of Ashoj 2083, we are pleased to share the recent achievements, activities, and important academic updates from Fishtail Academy, along with key information for the coming weeks.

1. Standing Together in the Face of the Recent Floods

The entire family of Fishtail Academy is profoundly saddened by the heartbreaking impact of the recent floods across Nepal.

In these challenging moments of hardship, loss, and displacement, our hearts go out to everyone who has lost loved ones, those anxiously awaiting news, and families whose homes and livelihoods have been disrupted.

We extend our heartfelt condolences to those in mourning. Our thoughts and support remain steadfastly with those still in harm’s way, the courageous emergency workers assisting affected communities, and everyone impacted by this tragedy.

As a school community, we continue to encourage compassion, empathy, solidarity, and support for one another during these difficult times.

2. Inter-House Swimming Competition

Our Inter-House Swimming Competition is being conducted from 31st Bhadra to 2nd Ashoj 2083, with enthusiastic participation from students of Grades 1 to 12.

Students are competing house-wise across a variety of swimming events, demonstrating their skills, determination, discipline, confidence, and sportsmanship.

Beyond competition, the event provides students with valuable opportunities to develop perseverance, teamwork, self-discipline, resilience, and respect for others. We commend all our students for their enthusiastic participation and encourage them to continue giving their best while upholding the spirit of fair play.

3. Student Achievement in English Eloquence Competition

We are delighted to share that Darshan Adhikari of Grade 12 secured Third Position in the English Eloquence Competition organized by HISSAN.

His achievement reflects his confidence, communication skills, preparation, and dedication. We congratulate Darshan on this commendable accomplishment and wish him continued success in his future academic and co-curricular pursuits.

4. Prestigious Presidential Scholarship for Darshan Adhikari

We are thrilled to share another remarkable achievement of our Grade 12 student, Darshan Adhikari, who has been awarded the prestigious Presidential Scholarship from Albright College, Pennsylvania, USA.

The scholarship covers full tuition fees and accommodation, marking a significant milestone in his academic journey.

This achievement is a proud moment not only for Darshan and his family but also for the entire Fishtail Academy community. We warmly congratulate Darshan on this outstanding accomplishment and wish him every success as he takes this exciting step toward his higher education.

5. STEAM Week 2026

Fishtail Academy successfully concluded STEAM Week 2026 with an exciting showcase of creativity, curiosity, and innovation. Students explored Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics through creative projects, experiments, working models, coding activities, and innovative solutions.

The showcase provided students with an opportunity to present their learning and ideas, while parents enjoyed visiting the projects and appreciating the hard work and creativity of our students. The week concluded with an exciting rocket show, making the celebration even more memorable.

We sincerely appreciate the dedication of our students, teachers, and parents in making STEAM Week 2026 a meaningful celebration of learning and innovation.

6. Second Terminal Examination

The Second Terminal Examination has been scheduled to begin from 15th Ashoj 2083 for all levels.

We encourage our students to use the coming days effectively for revision and preparation. Parents are kindly requested to support their children by maintaining regular study routines, ensuring adequate rest, monitoring attendance, and encouraging consistent preparation for the examinations.

We wish all our students the very best for their upcoming examinations and encourage them to approach their preparation with confidence, discipline, and a positive mindset.

7. Dashain Vacation

As we approach the festive season, we would like to inform you that the Dashain Vacation will begin from 24th Ashoj and continue until 8th Kartik 2083.

We hope the vacation provides our students and families with a meaningful opportunity to spend quality time together, celebrate our rich cultural traditions, and return to school refreshed and ready for the next phase of the academic year.

Parents are also encouraged to use this time to help children maintain a healthy balance between recreation, family time, reading, and personal learning.

8. Academic Focus, Attendance, and Discipline

As we continue through the academic year, we encourage all students to remain focused on their learning and maintain consistent academic habits. Parents are kindly requested to continue supporting their children by monitoring attendance, punctuality, assignments, projects, examination preparation, reading habits, and overall academic engagement.

We also encourage students to demonstrate responsibility, respect, discipline, empathy, and positive behaviour both inside and outside the school environment. Regular attendance and active participation remain essential for meaningful and continuous progress.
